I started buying homes in Cleveland in 2017. Not as a side hustle, not as a part-time experiment — as my full-time work, my commitment to this city. Over the years I've purchased houses in Old Brooklyn, Slavic Village, Collinwood, Glenville, West Boulevard, Parma, Lakewood, Garfield Heights, East Cleveland, and plenty of other neighborhoods in between. I know these streets. I know what a home on that side of town is worth.
The people who reach out to me are almost always dealing with something stressful. A parent passed away and left behind a house that hasn't been touched in years. A landlord who's tired of chasing rent and fixing things that keep breaking. Someone behind on their mortgage with a foreclosure notice sitting on their kitchen table. Someone going through a divorce who needs to just move on. I take all of those calls seriously, because every one of those situations is real.
